Job Description

PURPOSE & IMPACT ON ORGANIZATION:
Contribute to store profitability by:

  • Meeting or exceeding sales and KPI targets within the store through learning and development
  • Coordinating team members to provide a leading shopping experience
  • Assuming Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager and Store Supervisor

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and analyze performance data and make any necessary adjustments to drive commercial success, primarily within learning and development.
  • Allocate resources and organize processes, primarily within learning and development, to drive efficiency and productivity in a variety of situations, including short-term and long-term learning plans, follow-up, reporting, and tracking
  • Lead, create, adapt, deliver, and share customer service trainings with all team members
  • Be a role model for customer service and meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations, inspiring others to become role models
  • Supervise and support the team to ensure all customers receive an optimal service level at all times
  • Lead your team to meet or exceed customer expectations at all times
  • Be a Brand Ambassador, consistently exhibiting the Brand Attitude and Values
  • Use advanced Category expertise to drive sales and customer loyalty individually and through learning and development
  • Lead, create, adapt, deliver, and share Foundational, Seasonal Brand and Product Knowledge, and ad-hoc topics with all team members, and identify learning opportunities and initiatives
  • Support store operations including Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards, merchandise delivery management process, organized stockroom and direct sales floor replenishment, and all applicable loss prevention procedures
  • Maintain a safe and productive shopping and working environment
  • Create, encourage, and cultivate the training, learning, feedback, and coaching culture in the store
  • Lead the onboarding, training, and SHINE development of all store team members, working with the Store Manager to assess training needs
  • Coach, deliver feedback, and motivate all team members to maximize their performance
  • Share best practices to drive the overall store team performance and market Retail Learning strategy
  • Support’s market Retail Learning strategy through coaching and supporting Retail In-store Learning Team
  • Complete all applicable training programs and effectively apply the learning on the job
  • Seek coaching and learning opportunities to continually improve your performance

KNOWLEDGE, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Stepping into Management Competencies

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 12 months work experience in a sports/fashion customer- and commercial-focused retail environment with advanced selling experience and comprehensive product, retail and industry understanding, [as well as with first supervisor experience]
  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Competent and proven experience in influencing peers and above
  • Delivering training workshops and initiatives
  • Knowledge of the adidas and Reebok brands
  • Knowledge of Retail Key performance indicators, Profit and Loss reports, and Store Operations
  • Experience of working in a Retail environment
  • Tenacity to achieve and exceed KPI targets
